The Clerical employee provides administrative and office support to ensure the efficient operation of daily business activities. This position performs a variety of clerical duties including data entry, filing, answering phones, document preparation, and customer service while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner.
- Greet visitors and provide excellent customer service.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
- Prepare, sort, scan, copy, and distribute documents and correspondence.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars as needed.
- Assist with preparing reports, spreadsheets, and other office documents.
- Maintain office supplies and notify management when inventory needs replenishing.
- File, organize, and retrieve records and documents.
- Support multiple departments with administrative tasks as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information.
- Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous clerical, administrative, or office experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to learn company-specific software and office equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
